About

Dana Highfill grew up in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and has lived in Portland, Oregon since 2003. She graduated from Pratt Institute in 2003 with a degree in Industrial Design.

After a year working as a Project Manager and Exhibit Designer she took a month long trip to Ecuador. Traveling through and living in the Amazon Basin forever changed Dana's outlook on life. Upon returning to the United States she began to explore healing modalities such as Chi Kung (Qigong), Yoga, Tibetan Mysticism, Acupuncture, Shiatsu, Massage, Rolfing, Dance, and personal growth workshops. She has continued this exploration and is happy to now be sharing it with others.

In 2006 she began studying chi kung and energy work with Quiet Thunder. The chi kung classes led to an interest in Chinese medicine and she subsequently rerolled in the Eastern Focus massage program at the Oregon School of Massage. In September 2009 she successfully completed the 500 hour program at OSM and became a licensed massage therapist in October 2009.

She is currently focused on expanding her own bodywork practice in Portland, Oregon. More information is available at www.danahighfill.com.
